Hip Pain Treatment Concord

Five Dock Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Centre proudly offer quality hip pain treatment to residents in Concord and surrounding suburbs.

Hip pain can make daily life and participation in leisure and sport unbearable. People young and old experience hip pain for a variety of reasons, and physiotherapy can be the solution for treating hip pain. If you are diagnosed and treated by a physiotherapist, you can ensure your hip pain will be reduced and your functionality increased.

Problems treated by a physiotherapist include but are not limited to osteoarthritis, muscle tears, overuse injuries, labral tears, impingement and bursitis.

Causes

Hip pain can commence from a specific sporting or home injury, however, it can also develop from no apparent reason. Physiotherapists are experts in the diagnosis of your hip pain and identifying the structure(s) injured.

The areas in the hip that are usually affected are the joint itself, and the muscles, bursa, ligaments and tendons surrounding the joint. The hip in particular is complicated and an incorrect diagnosis of injury can lead to treatments that are less than effective.

To ensure a correct diagnosis is determined, a physiotherapist will complete a thorough assessment and devise a treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs.

Treatment

combination of hands on therapy and rehabilitating exercises are implemented by physiotherapists to enable recovery for your hip. Hands on manipulative treatments such as joint mobility work to release tension in the muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments. Dry needling can also be used for further muscle release.

The rehabilitative exercises you are prescribed are tailored to you, so that you can move smoothly, and in a bio-mechanically balanced manner. Moreover, your physiotherapist will design a program that can be completed within your requirements.
