Monique Stokes

Physiotherapist

Monique completed her Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra, following the completion of a Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Tasmania. She gained valuable physiotherapy experience from her previous positions before joining our team.

Clinically, Monique is interested in helping people with musculoskeletal conditions including the neck and back pain, general sports injuries and she enjoys treating dancers. She also has a clinical interest in treating musculoskeletal conditions surrounding pregnancy. Monique has completed her Matwork Pilates certification through APPI and uses mat and reformer Pilates to help her patients. She runs small Pilates groups and one-on-one Pilates consultations.

Monique’s approach to physiotherapy combines hands-on physio techniques, exercise prescription and education to help her patients get out of pain, achieve their goals and prevent further injury. Monique believes staying active is important not only for physical health but also for mental health.

Monique currently enjoys going to the gym for a HIIT workout, Les Mills Body Pump, and Pilates. Dancing, soccer and playing netball were activities that Monique enjoyed during her school years and she participated in social sports such as futsal and netball throughout university. Monique loves to eat good food and you will often find her at the latest café with her husband on the weekend. Baking, the beach and road trips also occupy her spare time. Monique is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
